Marijuana Robbery in Magalia

Magalia CA,- On November 10, 2017, at about 10:50 p.m., the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received a call from a subject who resides in the 6000 block of Elmwood Drive in Magalia.  The victim stated that two subjects armed with firearms came into his residence, bound him with zip-ties and stole several pounds of marijuana.  The victim was able to locate a tool to cut the zip-ties and escape to a location where he was able to contact the Sheriff’s Office.  Deputies responded to the residence, however the suspects had already fled the scene when they arrived.  The suspects are described as two males, possibly white or Hispanic, wearing dark clothing and masks covering their faces and armed with a shotgun and a handgun.  If you have any information regarding this case contact the Butte County Sheriff’s Office at 530-538-7321.

The Sheriff’s Office is aware that possession of marijuana is legal for people over the age of 21, however we would like to warn people to be cognizant of who they show their marijuana to.  Marijuana robberies are very prevalent this time of year after harvest season and some criminal element will take that opportunity to steal legally possessed marijuana for financial gain.

  1. Check out that picture used, it’s telling us they had dispensary-type display shelves, like a shop selling. Does that mean they also get tax evasion?

I thought legalizing it would help us all by taxing it’s sales
