5 Confirmed Dead in Rancho Tehama Shooting

Per authorities there are 5 confirmed dead after a man shot his neighbors roommate and stole a vehicle then continued shooting at several locations and ended up at the Elementary School on where he was shot dead.

There are at least 7 shootings scenes being investigated, authorities said.

The number of casualties could rise per Assistant Sheriff Phil Jonhston due that is just the beginning of the investigation and is ongoing.

Several agencies, including the FBI are at scene to dissect this horrible crime done by a well known criminal of the area.

Two officers shot at the suspect and an investigation has started per protocol on an officer involved shooting and the officers have been removed from the scene.

Hospital officials said that three people were taken by ground ambulance and a forth was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center. Three of the victims where children and one was an adult. No word on their condition.

Johnston said that one student was shot and another child and a women were shot inside a truck and taken to the hospital.

He also added: “I know that we airlifted a number of students” “I know that the school’s have been cleared. I know that we have children that were attending school in a safe location at this time” Johnson said.

The gunman randomly picked the targets firing shots at least at seven locations beginning at Bobcat Lane per neighbors reports.

Officers found that the shooter used two handguns and a semiautomatic rifle, Johnson said.

Per Sara Stinson’s, Action News Now interview with Brian Flint, he said that the gunman stole his truck and shot and killed his roommate. “He didn’t make it” “For his family and everything, I feel bad, and we’ll be there for them”

Flint and the downed roommate lived near the gunman and recently they heard hundreds of rounds fired from different calibers guns, including large magazines, Flint said. They aware that “this guy has been crazy, and he’s been threatening us snd everything. I just feel like there maybe should have been more effort put into stopping things like this.”
